Anne, 64, is a quizzer and TV personality and has been a “chaser” on ITV’s The Chase since 2010. She is a “chaser” alongside Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan and Darragh Ennis.

She is also a “chaser” on the Australian version of the show with Mark Labbett.

Anne has also appeared on other quiz shows including Mastermind, Fifteen to One, Today’s the Day, Are You an Egghead? and Brain of Britain.

Impressively, Anne ranks number 55th (and second among women) in the World Quizzing Championships.

The TV star is known for being a brainiac but has a quieter life off-screen.

Anne was born in Westminster, London and studied journalism in Edinburgh. She was a writer for the South Wales Argus in Newport before moving to Manchester.

Despite her TV success, Anne hasn’t strayed far from her birth place, now residing in Watford, Hertfordshire just around the corner from the studios where The Chase is filmed.

Watford is 15 miles from Central London and is the perfect place for commuters to live.

The town is separated from Greater London to the south by Three Rivers District.

Homes in Watford don’t come cheap, having an overall average price of £498,054 over the last year, according to Rightmove.

The majority of sales in Watford during the last year were terraced properties, selling for an average price of £437,530.

Flats sold for an average of £279,327, with semi-detached properties fetching £566,984.

Overall, sold prices in Watford over the last year were three percent higher compared to the previous year.

House prices were also eight percent higher than the previous 2018 peak of £462,660.

The quizzer previously appeared on Lorraine, where fans caught a glimpse of her home office.

The room features a stunning painting of the countryside and a large wooden desk which is filled with books.

A cream lamp could also be seen in the background, which matches Anne’s neutral-coloured walls.

Anne has autism, having been diagnosed in 2003 when she was 45.

Earlier this year, Anne featured on the ITV programme, DNA Journey.

During the show, it was revealed that she is of Scottish descent, and is both a descendent of Robert the Bruce and a distant relative of Elizabeth II.
