Thousands of users have reported problems accessing the popular AI-generation site.

Owners OpenAI have said they are looking into it.
"We are currently investigating this issue," the firm said.

Its service status page marks it as a "partial outage."
Many complained that they simply could not log onto the platform.
"Is chatGPT down for anyone else? my career is over…" one user joked.
"@OpenAI is down and I'm not 100% sure I remember how to do my job on my own," another said.

But others found it a major frustration, saying: "ChatGPT is down but I need to finish up something."
The Down Detector service picked up a huge uptick in reports from 3pm UK time on August 29.
Numbers were well above 3,000 on the US version of the site, suggesting it may be a global problem.
ChatGPT is a language model that can respond to prompts, helping its users create content.
