'Clean It, Fix It' viewers amazed at window cleaning hack
Over time windows naturally get dirty from dust in the air, birds flying by and bugs taking refuge.
They should usually be cleaned at least once every month, both inside and out.
However, while cleaning windows is a relatively easy task, it is also a bit of an art form when it comes to trying to achieve a streak-free finish.
Luckily, one cleaning enthusiast has taken to social media to share an “easy way” to tackle cleaning windows.
Jessica May, otherwise known as @Jessicamay_home on TikTok, posted a window cleaning hack that only uses two kitchen staple items to achieve a “streak-finish”.

The cleaning fan captioned her video: “Easy hack to clean your windows and leave them streak-free and shining.”
In the video, Jess began mixing equal parts dish soap and white vinegar in a Dishmatic and giving it a shake.
White vinegar is often used in combination with other products to form an all-purpose cleaning solution.

Since it has an acidic composition, vinegar has a quick action in breaking down the thin film that collects on glass surfaces.
Jess then lightly scrubbed the window with the Dishmatic, making sure to cover all areas.
For those who don’t own a Dishmatic, they can do the same by mixing the solution in a bowl with a splash of water and applying it with a regular sponge.
Once the solution was applied to the window, she used a squeegee to “remove the liquid and leave a streak-free shine”.
