WI-FI experts at Intel have revealed a top tip that could get you faster internet speed.
It's easy to do and should only take you a few seconds.
The advice is found under the general recommendations section of Intel's wireless advice page.
It states: "If you are using Wi-Fi, minimize the number of solid objects between the access point’s antenna and the device suffering from low speeds, using line-of-sight.
"Moving a device or antenna even an inch to one side could bypass multiple solid objects, making an enormous difference."
Just an inch might be all you need to get faster speeds.
Some household objects are more draining for your router than others.
Generally, anything metal can interrupt your Wi-Fi speed if it's too close.
Your router emits radio waves and these are electromagnetic.
That means metal can absorb them and reduce the strength of your Wi-Fi.

It's best to move your router away from any obstruction and have it in an open space.
Don't be tempted to cover it for aesthetic reasons.
Having your router in a cabinet or box can slow your internet down.
It can also run the risk of your Wi-Fi router overheating.
Just like a computer, your router device needs to be well-ventilated.
It's also best to keep your router off the ground if possible.
